ANTHONY HARRISON 4 FURNISHINGS

LICENSE PLATE DRESSER

I love painting furniture, but if the wood is in good shape, I usually decide to leave it alone. This piece was one of those compromises. Although the dresser was in decent condition, the piece itself was slightly underwhelming. I decided to go for more of an industrial look, retaining most of the piece’s original finish. The hemp oil did an excellent job bringing back the luster to the wood grain. The drawer fronts were painted and glazed to simulate an aged metal. The grungy knobs worked to integrate the wood and faux metal finish with the industrial theme.
